Board of Directors

Any Belleville Chamber Member may self-nominate to be considered for a role as a board member or committee chair, in accordance with our bylaws. Open Board member positions are typcially elected by the membership at the Annual Membership Meeting. They serve two-year terms, officially beginning at the next regular board meeting after the Annual Membership Meeting, and ending at the Annual Membership Meeting of the year indicated in paranthesis behind their name.
Officers and Committee Chair roles are elected by the Board of Directors at the first regular board meeting after the Annual meeting. Officer & Chair positions are elected annually - and there are term limits.
You do not need to be a board member to chair a committee - you do have to be a member.
If any role becomes vacant prior to the completion of the term, there are provisions in the bylaws to appoint an interim person.
